Montane forest and paramo in the vicinity of El Chamizo (3264 m elevation), Provincia Carchi, and Nueva América (3420 m elevation), Provincia Imbabura, in the Cordillera Oriental of northern Ecuador; like ly in Adjacent Colombia.
