Known from several localities at elevations of 2400-3000 m on the Amazonian slopes of the Cordillera Oriental in the Provincia de Pasco, Peru.
In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) conspicillatus group, most similar to Eleutherodactyls rhabdolaemus, according to the original publication.
