Eleutherodactylus museosus Ibáñez, Jaramillo, and Arosemena, 1994, Amphibia-Reptilia, 15: 337. Holotype: MVUP 1348, by original designation. Type locality: "Culebra (08°52′14″N, 82°25′12″W), head waters of Río Changuinola, Distrito de Bocas del Toro, Provincia de Bocas del Toro, República de Panamá, 1000 m".

Moderate elevations (700-1000 m) on the Cordillera Central of Panama.

Comment

Most similar to Eleutherodactylus cruentus according to the original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 228. In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) ridens species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 114.
