Eleutherodactylus moro Savage, 1965, Bull. S. California Acad. Sci., 64: 106. Holotype: CRE 765 (now transferred to LACM), by original designation. Type locality: "Costa Rica: Provincia de San José: Canton de Coronado: La Hondura, 1245 meters (4085 feet)". Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 92-93, commented on the type locality.

Eleutherodactylus lehmanvalenciae Thornton, 1965, Copeia, 1965: 425. Holotype: USNM 151399, by original designation. Type locality: "approximately 5 miles upstream from the mouth of the Raposo River and approximately 20 miles south of Buenaventura, Departament of Valle, Colombia". Synonymy by Savage, 1968, Copeia, 1968: 878-879.

Distribution

Premontane zone of Atlantic slope central Costa Rica and Pacific versant central Panama to lowland western Colombia.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 228. The original publication placed it in the less inclusive Eleutherodactylus diastema group, with Eleutherodactylus diastema, Eleutherodactylus hylaeformis, and Eleutherodactylus vocator. Savage, 2002, Amph. Rept. Costa Rica: 268-269, provided an account and placed this species in his Eleutherodactylus martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus cruentus group. In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) ridens species series of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 114.
