Known only from the region of the type locality in the Province of Bagua, Department of Amazonas, Peru, and also reported from the "Centro de Estudios y Desarrollo para Amazonia", a reserve in northeastern Zamora-Chinchipe, Ecuador; expected to be more widespread than currently documented.
