Eleutherodactylus meridionalis Lehr and Duellman, 2007, Copeia, 2007: 145. Holotype: MUSM 0568, by original designation. Type locality: "Peru, Departamento de Ancash, Provincia de Huaylas, Distrito de Caraz, from Caraz".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality, Caraz , in the northern part of the Callejón de Huaylas in the Río Santa Valley at 2290 m, Departamento de Ancash, Provincia de Huaylas, Peru.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) orestes group according to the original publication. Duellman and Lehr, 2007, Sci. Pap. Nat. Hist. Mus. Univ. Kansas, 39: 1-13, briefly discussed the range. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) conspicillatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 120.
