Known only from the type locality in the state of Táchira, Venezuela.
Comment
In Eleutherodactylus lentiginosus complex of the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group according to original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) conspicillatus series, not assigned to species group by Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 228. In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group by Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118.
