Eleutherodactylus marahuaka Fuentes-Ramos and Barrio-Amorós, 2004, Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 28: 286. Holotype: MBUCV 6637, by original designation. Type locality: "VENEZUELA, Estado Amazonas, summit of Cerra Marahuaka (N 03° 55′--W 65° 27′), aprox. 2450 m".

Summit of Cerro Marahuaca, central Amazonas, Venezuela, at around 2450 m elevation.

In the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128.
