Allobates spumaponens Kok and Ernst, 2007, Zootaxa, 1555: 21. Holotype: SMNS 12511, by original designation. Type locality: "Mabura Hill Forest Reserve, Upper Demerara-Berbice Region, Guyana (5°09′ N, 58°41′ W, elevation ca. 100 m)."

Distribution
Known only from the type locality (Mabura Hill Forest Reserve) in central Guyana and from three localities in northern Pará, Brazil.
Comment
Avila-Pires, Hoogmoed, and Rocha, Bol. Mus. Parense Emilio Goeldi, Cienc. Nat., 5: 65, reported the species from northern Pará, Brazil.
