Type locality: "Quebrada La Corcovada, aproximadamente 8 km de Laguna Mucubají, en vía Apartaderos--Santo Domingo, 3000 m.s.n.m., 8° 48′ 42″ N y 70° 47′ 46″ W, Municipio Cardenal Quintero, Estado Mérida, Venezuela".
