Colostethus masniger Morales, 2002 "2000", Publ. Asoc. Amigos Doñana, 13: 35. Holotype: USNM 303585, by original designation. Type locality: "Itaituba, 75 Km SO cerca del Parque Nacional da Amazônia, Río Tapajós, Estado de Pará, Brasil".

Known only from the lower drainages of the Río Tapajos in the Parque Nacional da Amazônia, Pará, Brazil.
Comment
In the Colostethus trilineatus group according to the original publication. See comment under Allobates. Tsuji-Nishikido, Kaefer, Freitas, Menin, and Lima, 2012, Herpetol. J., 22: 105-114, compared the morphology and calls of this species with Allobates nidicola.
