Eleutherodactylus citriogaster Duellman, 1992, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 6: 24. Holotype: KU 212277, by original designation. Type locality: "Cataratas Ahuashiyacu (06° 30′ S, 76° 20′ W, 730 m), 14 km (by road) northeast of Tarapoto, Provincia de San Martín, Departamento de San Martín, Peru".

English Names

Throated Robber Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 73).

Distribution

Elevations of 600-800 m in lower humid montane forest on the slopes of a ridge northeast of Tarapoto, Departamento de San Martín in northern Peru; reported 452 km to the northwest at 1094 m elevation in the vicinity of General Leonidas Plaza, Provincia Morona-Santiago, southeastern Ecuador.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus conspicillatus group, most closely allied with Eleutherodactylus lymani and Eleutherodactylus condor, according to the original publication.
