Eleutherodactylus carmelitae Ruthven, 1922, Misc. Publ. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 8: 51. Holotype: UMMZ 54528, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada Viernes Santo (5,000 feet), San Lorenzo, Santa Marta Mountains, [Depto. Magdalena,] Colombia".
