Distribution

Central Andes of Colombia south to the Nudo de Pasto; Western Andes in Ecuador; Eastern Andes of Ecuador south to Nevado Cayambe (2400-3700 m).

In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) conspicillatus series, Eleutherodactylus curtipes group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 221. Mueses-Cisneros, 2005, Caldasia, 27: 235, provided a record for Putumayo, Colombia. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) curtipes species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 120-121.
