Colostethus granti Kok, MacCulloch, Gaucher, Poelman, Bourne, Lathrop, and Lenglet, 2006, Phyllomedusa, 5: 46. Holotype: IRSNB 1932, by original designation. Type locality: "Montagne Belvédère, ca. 7 km SE from the village of Saül, French Guiana, 3° 37′ N, 53° 1′ W, elevation ca. 250 m.".

English Names

Black-flanked Poison Frog (Ouboter and Jairam, 2012, Amph. Suriname: 24).

Distribution

Central and southern French Guiana and Surinam at elevations of 100-730 m; expected in adjacent Surinam and Brazil.

Comment

Confused with Anomaloglossus beebei and Allobates marchesianus prior to its description. See account for Surinam population by Ouboter and Jairam, 2012, Amph. Suriname: 24-26, who noted that the Surinam populations have a different call than the populations in Guyana, suggested the need for further study.
