Type locality: "El Tambo (05° 21′ S, 79° 33′ W, 2770 m), 31 km (by road) ENE of Canchaque, Provincia Huancabamba, Departamento Piura, Peru".

Known only from the region of the type locality in the Province of Huancabamba, Department of Piura, Peru.
