Phrynopus lechriorhynchus Trueb and Lehr, 2008, Phyllomedusa, 7: 14. Holotype: LSUMZ 31886, by original designation. Type locality: "Punta de Esperanza on trail to Huaylaspampa, above Acomayo, Departamento de Huánuco, Peru".

Distribution
Known from two localities at elevations of 2740-2800 m on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Oriental just north of the Rio Huallaga in Huánuco Department, central Peru.
