Hylodes granulosus Boulenger, 1903, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 7, 12: 553. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.15.72 (formerly 1902.11.28.15), according to J.D. Lynch in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 291. Type locality: "Santo Domingo, Carabaya, S. E. Peru, 6000 feet".

Distribution

Humid montane forests and cloud forests of the eastern versant of Cordillera Carabaya, Puno, Peru, 1400-2000 m elevation.

Removed from the synonymy of Oreobates cruralis by Padial, Chaparro, and De la Riva, 2008, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 152: 755, where it had been placed by Lynch, 1989, Milwaukee Public Mus. Contrib. Biol.
