Phrynopus kempffi De la Riva, 1992, Herpetologica, 48: 111. Holotype: EBD 28842, by original designation. Type locality: "30 km by road from Comarapa (Caballero province, Department of Santa Cruz) towards Cochabamba, in "la Siberia", 2600 m (Carrasco province, Department of Cochabamba) (17° 50′ S, 64° 45′ W)", Bolivia.

Psychrophrynella kempffi — Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 102.

English Names

Junin Andes Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 83).

Distribution

Cloud forest in the Serranía Siberia region in the departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, Bolivia, 2500-3160 m elevation.
