Pacific drainages of southeastern Chiapas, Mexico, where it occurs on the Pacific versant in the vicinity of Escuintla, southeastward through southern Guatemala to eastern El Salvador, 400-1760 m elevation; presumably in adjacent and intervening Honduras.

El Salvador: 54-56, provided an account (as Eleutherodactylus rupinius and for El Salvador) and a color photograph.
