Eleutherodactylus pelorus Campbell and Savage, 2000, Herpetol. Monogr., 14: 218. Holotype: KU 171218. Type locality: "2.7 km N Solosuchiapa, ca. 400 m, Chiapas, Mexico. This site lies in premontane Wet Forest at about 17° 27′ N, 93° 03′ W."

English Names

Monstrous Rainfrog (Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 10).

Distribution

Caribbean slopes of northern Chiapas, Mexico, where it is known from along the small, upper tributaries that drain into the lower Río Grijalva and Río Usumacinta, 400-1700 m elevation in cloud forest.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus rugulosus group according to the original publication.
