Platymantis spelaeus Brown and Alcala, 1982, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 95: 386. Holotype: CAS 153469, by original designation. Type locality: "limestone cave, Tiyabanan Barrio, Basay, southern Negros Oriental, Philippines".

Platymantis spelaea — Günther, 1999, Mitt. Mus. Naturkd. Berlin, Zool., 75: 327-328. by implication. Unjustified emendation according to Kraus and Allison, 2007, Zootaxa, 1485: 29-30.

English Names

Cave Wrinkled Ground Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 105).

Distribution

Limestone karst areas on southern Negros Island, Philippines, 20-400 m elevation.
