Cornufer montanus Taylor, 1922, Philipp. J. Sci., 21: 272. Holotype: CAS 61179 (formerly EHT 861) according to Slevin and Leviton, 1956, Proc. California Acad. Sci., Ser. 4, 28: 536. Type locality: "at an elevation of about 1,500 meters on Mount Banahao, Laguna Province, Luzon", Philippines.
