Cornufer guentheri Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 108. Syntypes: BMNH 1947.2.31-34 (formerly 77.10.9.52) according to W.C. Brown in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 467. Type locality: "Dinagat Island", Philippines.

Cornufer ingeri Brown and Alcala, 1963, Copeia, 1963: 672. Holotype: CAS-SU 21214, by original designation. Type locality: "700 meters, Cantaub area, 14 km southeast of Sierra Bullones, Bohol Island, Philippines". Synonymy by Brown, Alcala, Diesmos, and Alcala, 1997, Proc. California Acad. Sci., Ser. 4, 50: 4.

Distribution

Rainforest on the Great Mindanao group of islands (Mindanao, Dinagat, Bohol, and Biliran), Philippines, 0-700 m elevation.
