Platymantis bimaculata Günther, 1999, Mitt. Mus. Naturkd. Berlin, Zool., 75: 326. Holotype: ZMB 59065, by original designation. Type locality: "Wondiwoi Mountains at the basis of the Wandammen Peninsula, about 10 km west of the Yeretuar village, at 550 m NN, Irian Jaya [now Papua]", New Guinea, Indonesia.

Platymantis bimaculatus — Kraus and Allison, 2007, Zootaxa, 1485: 30. by implication.

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Wondiwoi Mountains of Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.

Comment

Most closely related to Platymantis batantae according to the original publication. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 89, provided a brief account.
