Hylella solomonis Sternfeld, 1920, Abh. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges., 36: 436. Syntypes: SMF (3 specimens); SMF 6601 designated lectotype by Mertens, 1967, Senckenb. Biol., 48(A): 44. Type locality: "Inneres von Buka, Deutsche Salomonen" (= Buka Island, Solomon Islands).

Palmatorappia solomonis — Ahl, 1927 "1926", Sitzungsber. Ges. Naturforsch. Freunde Berlin, 1926: 114.

Hypsirana heffernani Kinghorn, 1928, Rec. Aust. Mus., 16: 130. Holotype: AMS R8619, by original designation. Type locality: "Tunabuli Harbour, Ysabel Island", Solomon Islands. Synonymy by Brown, 1952, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 107: 44.

English Names

Solomon Island Palm Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 103).

Distribution

Buka, Bougainville, Choiseul, and Santa Isabel Islands in the Solomon Islands, below 250 m elevation, but probably more widely distributed.
