Chaperina friedericii Sternfeld, 1920, Abh. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges., 36: 435. Holotype: SMF 4090 according to Mertens, 1967, Senckenb. Biol., 48(A): 44. Type locality: "Inneres von Buka, Deutsche Salomonen" (= Buka Island, Solomon Is.). Synonymy by Mertens, 1929, Zool. Anz., 806.

Distribution

Throughout the Solomon Islands, except San Cristobal, 0-1250 m elevation.

Comment

Inger, 1954, Fieldiana, Zool., 33: 368, opined that this species was likely a Cornufer (= Platymantis). See account by Brown, 1952, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 107: 25-28.
