Centrolenella vireovittata Starrett and Savage, 1973, Bull. S. California Acad. Sci., 72: 66. Holotype: LACM 75141, by original designation. Type locality: "Costa Rica: Provincia de San Jose: Canton Perez Zeledon: 0.5 km NE Alfombra: a place 16 km SW San Isidro de El General on the road to Dominical, 880 m". Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 75, commented on the type locality.

English Names

Starrett's Glass Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 48).

Distribution

Premontane zone at scattered localities from the slopes of Volcán Tenorio, Guanacaste Province, to near Barú, Puntarenas Province, in southwestern Costa Rica, exclusive of the Cordillera Central and Cordillera de Talamanca; also in from west-central Panama.
