Centrolenella pallida Rivero, 1985, Brenesia, 23: 346. Holotype: UPRM 4554, by original designation. Type locality: "Guacharaquita, entre La Grita y Páramo de La Negra, 1768 m, Edo Táchira, Venezuela".

Hyalinobatrachium pallidum — Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 57: 24.

English Names

Guacharaquita Glass Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 47).

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Quebrada Guacharaquita, Táchira, Venezuela, 1768 m elevation) and localities in the Sierra de Perijá, Zulia, Venezuela.

Comment

In the Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni group, according to Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 57: 1-30. Señaris and Ayarzagüena, 2005, Rev. Taxonom. Fam. Centrolenidae de Venezuela: 217-221, provided a review of the morphology, natural history, and range of this species. See map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 220. Rojas-Runjaic, Infante-Rivero, and Cabello, 2012, Check List, 8: 819-825, reported localities in the Sierra de Perijá, Zulia, Venezuela, and commented on the range.
