Hyalinobatrachium mondolfii Señaris and Ayarzagüena, 2001, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 49: 1084. Holotype: MHNLS 12710, by original designation. Type locality: "Primer Raudal del Caño Acoima, afluente del Río Grande (8° 22′ N, 61° 32′ W), 15 msnm., estribaciones de la Serranía de Imataca, Estado Delta Amacuro, Venezuela".

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Apparently in two distantly allopatric populations: Caño Acoima and Caño Jotajana in the state of Delta Amacuro and along the Río Guarapiche in the state of Monagas, Venezuela, as well as in the Departamento Pando in northern Bolivia; also reported for Leticia, Colombia; presumably to be found in a much wider area of Amazonia.

Comment

In the Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni group according to the original publication. Señaris and Ayarzagüena, 2005, Rev. Taxonom. Fam. Centrolenidae de Venezuela: 200-207, provided a review of the morphology, natural history, and range of this species. Castroviejo-Fisher, Moravec, Aparicio, Guerrero-Reinhard, and Calderón, 2011, Zootaxa, 2798: 64-68, verified a record for Departamento Pando, Bolivia, by molecular analysis and noted that it seems to be impossible to distinguish this species from Hyalinobatrachium munozorum and Hyalinobatrachium ruedai on the basis of morphological characteristics. Castroviejo-Fisher, Vilà, Ayarzagüena, Blanc, and Ernst, 2011, Zootaxa, 3132: 1-55, provided a detailed account,.
