Cochranella ruizi Lynch, 1993, Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 18: 567. Holotype: ICN 7469, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada Sopladero, on the lower edge of the Parque Nacional Natural 'Munchique', about 33 km by road NNW Uribe, Municipio de El Tambo, Departamento del Cauca, Colombia, 2190 m".

English Names

Ruiz's Cochran Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 47).

Distribution

Intermediate elevations (2190-2850 m) on the western slopes of the Cordillera Occidental, and the eastern slope of the Farallones de Cali, in the departments of Cauca, Risaraldo, and Valle del Cauca, Colombia.
