Cochranella nephelophila Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 60: 10. Holotype: ICN 24297, by original designation. Type locality: "Departamento del Caquetá, municipio de Florencia, vereda Gabinete, 3.1 km abajo de la cresta del Alto Gabinete, vertiente oriental Cordilla Oriental de Colombia, 1° 53′ latitud N, 75° 41′ W de Greenwich, 2190 m.", Colombia.

Nymphargus nephelophila — Cisneros-Heredia and McDiarmid, 2007, Zootaxa, 1572: 35.

English Names

Florencia Cochran Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 47).

Distribution

Eastern versant of the Eastern Andes, 1660-2190 m, between Florencia and the Alto Gabinete, Caquetá, Colombia.

Comment

In the Cochranella ocellata group according to the original publication. Placed in the Cochranella spinosa group by Savage, 2002, Amph. Rept. Costa Rica: 365.
