Centrolenella euknemos Savage and Starrett, 1967, Copeia, 1967: 604. Holotype: LACM 26764, by original designation. Type locality: "Costa Rica: Provincia de San José: Canton de Coronado: 1.5 km S Alto La Palma, 1500 m."

Distribution
Scattered lowland and premontane localities from central Costa Rica (840-1500 m) and Panama (90-1270 m) to the lower western slope of the Western Andes (south to 5° 15′ N), of Antioquia, northern Colombia (100-200 m elevation).
Comment
In the Cochranella granulosa group, according to Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 57: 1-30. See account by Savage, 2002, Amph. Rept. Costa Rica: 362-363, in which he noted that the animals reported under this name by Hayes, Pounds, and Timmerman, 1989, Herpetol. Circ., 17: 40, and by Pounds and Fogden, 2000, in Nadkarni and Wheelwright (eds.), Monteverde Ecol. Conserv. Tropical Cloud Forest: 537, represent an undescribed species. Kubicki, 2007, Glass Frogs Costa Rica: 126-139, provided an account and detailed range map for Costa Rica.
