Centrolenella euhystrix Cadle and McDiarmid, 1990, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 103: 748. Holotype: FMNH 232510, by original designation. Type locality: "the ridge above basecamp (near Chorro Blanco, about 4-4.5 km (airline) NE of Monte Seco, Río Zaña, Department of Cajamarca, Peru, 2610 m."

Distribution

Vicinity of the type locality, Departamento Cajamarca, Peru.

Comment

In the Cochranella ocellata group, according to Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 57: 1-30. Placed in the Cochranella spinosa group by Savage, 2002, Amph. Rept. Costa Rica: 365. Guayasamin, Castroviejo-Fisher, Trueb, Ayarzagüena, Rada, and Vilà, 2009, Zootaxa, 2100: 55, regarded this species as incertae sedis within Centroleninae.
