Centrolene guanacarum Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1995, Lozania, 65: 13. Holotype: ICN 11686, by original designation. Type locality: "Departamento del Cauca, munipicipio de Inzá, Km. 84 carretera Popayán a Inzá, Río Guanacas, quebrada afluente, Internado Indígena Río Guanacas, vertiente oriental Cordillera Central, 2° 34′ Latitud N, 76° 05′ W de Greenwich, 1800-1900 m", Colombia.

"Centrolene" guanacarum — Guayasamin, Castroviejo-Fisher, Trueb, Ayarzagüena, Rada, and Vilà, 2009, Zootaxa, 2100: 56.

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Cordillera Central of Colombia, on the eastern and western slopes in the Departamento de Cauca, between 1800 and 1900 m elevation.

Comment

In the Centrolene prosoblepon group according to the original publication. Ruiz-Carranza, Ardila-Robayo, and Lynch, 1996, Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 20: 370, rejected records from the Department of Risaralda, Colombia. Guayasamin, Castroviejo-Fisher, Trueb, Ayarzagüena, Rada, and Vilà, 2009, Zootaxa, 2100: 56, regarded this species as incertae sedis within Centroleninae.
