Cochranella croceopodes Duellman and Schulte, 1993, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 155: 19. Holotype: KU 211804, by original designation. Type locality: "23.2 km (by road) northeast of Tarapoto (06°27′S, 76°48′W, 800 m), Provincia San Martín, Departamento San Martín, Perú".

English Names

San Martin Cochran Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 46).

Distribution

Known only from the region of the type locality (San Martín, Peru).

Comment

In the Cochranella granulosa group according to the original publication. Placed in the Cochranella spinosa group by Savage, 2002, Amph. Rept. Costa Rica: 365. Guayasamin, Castroviejo-Fisher, Trueb, Ayarzagüena, Rada, and Vilà, 2009, Zootaxa, 2100: 55, considered this species incertae sedis within Centroleninae.
