Bufo angusticeps Smith, 1848, Illust. Zool. S. Afr., 3 (Part 27): pl. 69, figs. 1 and 1a. Syntypes: BMNH 58.11.25.160-163, according to A.G.C. Grandison in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 35. Type locality: "Interior of South Africa . . . in districts coated with underwood".

Distribution

Fynbos biome in southwestern and southern part of Western Cape Province to extreme southwestern Eastern Cape Province, Rep. South Africa, 0-1500 m elevation.
