Nectophryne maculata Mocquard, 1890, Nouv. Arch. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat. Paris, Ser. 3, 2: 162. Syntypes: MNHNP 1889.266-268 (total of 3 specimens), according to Guibé, 1950 "1948", Cat. Types Amph. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat.: 16. Type locality: "Kina Balu", Sabah (Borneo), Malaysia.

Ansonia anotis Inger, Tan, and Yambun, 2001, Raffles Bull. Zool., 49: 35. Holotype: SPM 01762, by original designation. Type locality: "Sungai Wario (880 m ASL), Sayap Station (6° 14′ N/116° 32′ E), Kinabalu Park, Kota Belud District, Sabah, Malaysia". Synonymy by Matsui, Yambun, and Sudin, 2007, Zool.
