Type locality: "El Chaquiro, [Department of] Antioquia, Colombia"; corrected to "Hacienda Palmas, El Chaquiro, Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia, elevation 2670 m" by Trueb, 1971, Contrib. Sci. Distribution

Known only from the type locality on the eastern slope of the Cordillera Central, Antioquia, Colombia, 2670 m elevation.
