Rhamphophryne macrorhina Trueb, 1971, Contrib. Sci. Nat. Hist. Mus. Los Angeles Co., 216: 25. Holotype: LACM 44394, by original designation. Type locality: "Santa Rita, Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia, between elevations of 1890 and 1910 m".

Rhinella macrorhina — Chaparro, Pramuk, and Gluesenkamp, 2007, Herpetologica, 63: 211. by implication.

Distribution

Western slope of the Cordillera Central, Departamento Antioquia (municípios Guatapé and Anorí) and Departamento Caldas (Município Samana), Colombia, 1450-2420 m elevation.

Galeano and Urbina, 2004, Herpetol. Rev., 35: 283-284, provided an additional record (as Rhamphophryne macrorhina) and commented on the range. Herrera and Castro-Herrera, 2004, in Rueda-Almonacid et al. (eds.), Libro Rojo Anf. Colombia: 360-364, provided an account (as Rhamphophryne macrorhina) and map.
