Alsodes igneus Cuevas and Formas, 2005, Amphibia-Reptilia, 26: 40. Holotype: IZUA 3353, by original designation; destroyed by fire on 3 December 2007. Type locality: "at the border of Malleco Lake, Tolhuaca National Park (38° 12′ S, 71° 48′ W; 920 m altitude), 66 km north-eastern [sic] of Victoria City (by road), Malleco Province, Región de la Araucanía, western slopes of the Andes".

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Temperate Nothofagus forest on the western slopes of the Andes in the region of the type locality in southern Chile (Malleco Province, Región de la Araucanía).
