Bufo dombensis Bocage, 1895, J. Sci. Math. Phys. Nat., Lisboa, Ser. 2, 4: 51-53. Syntypes: BMNH 1947.2.21.3-4 (formerly 96.2.28.3-4) and MBL T.4-366 and T.4-367 (presumed destroyed in the 1978 fire), 14 syntypes not traced, according to A.G.C. Grandison in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 43. Type locality: "Dombé, sur le littoral, au sud de Benguella", Angola.

Distribution

Grasslands close to rock outcrops in southwestern Angola and northwestern Namibia.
