Bufo fenoulheti damaranus Mertens, 1954, Senckenb. Biol., 35: 9. Holotype: MCZ 22398, by original designation. Type locality: "Ombujomatemba, sudlich des Waterberges, Damaraland", Namibia. Synonymy (with Bufo dombensis) by Mertens, 1971, Abh. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges., 529: 11, and Tandy and Keith, 1972, in Blair (ed.), Evol. Genus Bufo: 159. Synonymy (with Bufo fenoulheti) by Channing and Griffin, 1993, Madoqua, Windhoek, 18: 101-106.
