Bufo cataulaciceps Schwartz, 1959, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 72: 110. Holotype: AMNH 61982, by original designation. Type locality: "7.9 miles north of Santa Fé, Isla de Pinos [= Isla de Juventud], Habana Province, Cuba".
