Nectophryne everetti Boulenger, 1896, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 6, 17: 450. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.18.27 (formerly 96.4.29.13) according to R.F. Inger in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 72. Type locality: "Mount Kina Balu, North Borneo", Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo).

Reviewed by Inger, 1966, Fieldiana, Zool., 52: 92, who noted that the previous record for Sarawak is not of this species. See brief account and photo by Manthey and Grossmann, 1997, Amph. Rept.
