Osornophryne simpsoni Páez-Moscoso, Guayasamin, and Yánez-Muñoz, 2011, ZooKeys, 108: 80. Holotype: QCAZ 49774, by original designation. Type locality: " near San Rafael-Chontayacu (1°16′ 34.61″ S, 78° 4′ 21.14″ W, 2266 m.a.s.l.), Reserve Ankaku-Zona, Río Challuwayacu, Provincia de Pastaza, Ecuador".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in its surrounding areas in the Reserve Ankaku-Zona, Provincia de Pastaza, Ecuador.

Comment

The sister species of Osornophryne occidentalis according to the original publication.
