Osornophryne percrassa Ruiz-Carranza and Hernández-Camacho, 1976, Caldasia, 11: 126. Holotype: ICN 319, by original designation. Type locality: "Páramo de Herveo, eastern flank of Cordillera Central, Município de Herveo, Departamento del Tolima, Colombia".

Distribution
Both slopes of the Cordillera Central and the central páramos of the Cordillera Central, departments of Tolima, Quindio, and Caldas, Colombia, 2700-3700 m elevation.
