Bufo celebensis Günther, 1859 "1858", Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus.: 60. Syntypes: BMNH, by original designation. Type localities: "Celebes" (= Sulawesi, Indonesia) and "India" (apparently in error).
