Incilius leucomyos (McCranie and Wilson, 2000)
Bufo leucomyos McCranie and Wilson, 2000, J. Herpetol., 34: 22. Holotype: USNM 349983, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada El Pinol at its confluence with Quebrada Las Cantinas (15° 09′ N, 86° 43′ W), Parque Nacional La Muralla, 950 m elevation, Departamento de Olancho, Honduras".

Distribution
Disjunct populations at low to intermediate elevations (0-1600 m) on the Atlantic versant of north-central Honduras.
Comment
In the former Bufo valliceps group, most closely related to Bufo campbelli, according to the original publication. See comment under Incilius campbelli. McCranie and Wilson, 2002, Amph. Honduras: 179-184, provided an account and discussion of previous misidentifications. McCranie, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 38, summarized the departmental distribution in Honduras. Mendelson, Mulcahy, Williams, and Sites, 2011, Zootaxa, 3138: 1-34, suggested that this species is a member of a monophyletic Incilius valliceps group and in a subgroup they referred to as the Forest Group (the name Incilius cristatus subgroup is available—DRF) that includes Incilius aucoinae, Incilius cavifrons, Incilius campbelli, Incilius cristatus, Incilius leucomoyos, Incilius macrocristatus, Incilius melanochlorus, Incilius spiculatus, and Incilius tutelarius.
