Siphonops leucoderus Taylor, 1968, Caecilians of the World: 573. Holotype: NHMW 9163, by original designation. Type locality: "'Bahia, Brasil'. . . presumably . . . the city Baía or Bahia, now named Salvador on recent maps, in the state of Bahia, eastern Brasil".
